"Everything. That's what I want to recognize you for. From the day you took my brother and I into your life at 6 months and then chose to make it permanent through adoption. You stopped at nothing to demonstrate what chosen love is. You didn't love because you had to, you chose to. And did it again day after day. Not a day goes by that I don't wish I could hold you and tell you I love you and hear you sing one more time. You would always tell me "Now remember Sonny Johnny, You are loved, You are wanted, and You are needed. And I felt that every single day. Thank you does not meet the level of appreciation I have for you. And on today, your birthday (The National Holiday) I want to proudly recognize you. My mother, always in my heart, never shall we part. I miss you and I love you and thank you for choosing me."
